Masai Mara

South Western Kenya is the heartland of the Masai. At the heart of these lands is the Masai Mara Game Reserve, widely considered to be Africa’s greatest wildlife reserve. The Mara comprises 200 sq miles of open plains, woodlands and riverine forest. Contiguous with the plains of the Serengeti, the Mara is home to a breathtaking array of life. The vast grassland plains are scattered with herds of Zebra, Giraffe, Gazelle, and Topi. The Acacia forests abound with Birdlife and Monkeys. Elephants and Buffalo wallow in the wide Musiara Swamp. The Mara and Talek rivers are brimming with Hippos and Crocodiles.

The Masai Mara is Kenya's most celebrated game park, it offers the possibility of seeing "the big five" and many other species of game. Each year the Mara plays host to the world’s greatest natural spectacle, the Great Wildebeest Migration from the Serengeti. From July to October, the promise of rain and fresh life giving grass in the north brings more than 1.3 million Wildebeest together into a single massive herd. They pour across the border into the Mara, making a spectacular entrance in a surging column of life that stretches from horizon to horizon. At the Mara River they mass together on the banks before finally plunging forward through the raging waters, creating a frenzy as they fight against swift currents and waiting crocodiles.
The wildebeest bring new life to the Mara, not just through their cycle of regeneration of the grasslands, but for the predators who follow the herds.

Day 1: Nairobi – Meet and transfer  to your hotel for Overnight Stay – The Norfolk Hotel (BB)

Day 2 : Amboseli –Tortillis Camp(Backdrop of Mt Kilimanjaro)

After Breakfast we begin our safari with a drive to Amboseli National Park, upon arrival enjoy leisurely lunch. In the afternoon we set out on game drive in search of the park's famous elephant herds as well as abundant plains game.

Day 3: Amboseli –Tortillis Camp

Early morning game drive then breakfast at the lodge.With Mount Kilimanjaro providing a splendid backdrop for all our photographs, we spend the next day on morning and afternoon game drives, watching for zebra and wildebeest along the salt pan trail

Day 4: Amboseli – Sweetwaters Luxury Tented Camp

Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Lionhill Lodge Full Board

 After breakfast we travel to Thompson Falls then down to the floor of the Rift Valley and onto Lake Nakuru National Park. Spend the day exploring the amazing bird life as well as rhino and leopard for which Lake Nakuru is internationally known. The park is also home to a large colony of flamingo.Dinner and Overnight at Lionhill Lodge or similar.

Day 6: Maasai Mara – Sarova Mara

This remarkable day takes us to the land of the Maasai, a cattle-herding people still proudly aloof from western civilization. Our destination, the Maasai Mara, is a magnificent park and home to Kenya's richest concentration of wildlife.

Day 7: Masai Mara

Early morning game drive.Breakfast at the lodge .Take a picnic lunch and spend the whole day in the bush going upto Mara River.You will be able to view some of Africa's largest prides of lion, herds of zebra, antelope, buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, cheetah and hyena.Dinner and Overnight at Sarova Mara Lodge or similar 

Day 8: Maasai Mara/Nairobi

An early morning game drive is followed by a breakfast feast. Take your time to say Kwaheri to simba and his friends. We leave when you're ready. In the evening we chauffeur you to the airport and bid you bon voyage as you catch your flight
